Il 26 gennaio saranno assegnati, allo Staples Center di Los Angeles, i 56esimi GRAMMY® Awards.
Tra le nomination grande la presenza di artisti delle storiche etichette Columbia Records ed RCA, che fanno parte entrambe di Sony Music.
Ben 19 sono le nomination per i 56esimi GRAMMY® Awards ottenute in diciassette categorie per gli artisti e le registrazioni di Columbia Records e 28 quelle per RCA Records, annunciate a Los Angeles lo scorso 6 dicembre dalla National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences .
I Daft Punk guidano quest’anno gli artisti Columbia Records con cinque nomination: Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Engineered Album -Non Classical, Record of the Year e Best Pop/Duo Group Performance per “Get Lucky,” featuring Pharrell Williams.
Fra gli altri artisti candidati figurano David Bowie (3 nomination), Calvin Harris (2 nomination), J.Cole, John Legend, The Civil Wars e Tony Bennett (1 nomination). “360 Sound: The Columbia Records Story” è in nomination come Best Album Notes.
